Field Trip to CEA Farms
For our July Luncheon, we did something different – went “on location” to experience the story of a 12th generation Loudoun farming family who is taking a whole new approach to farming. Owner Donald Virts gave us the inside story of how it all came to be… and a behind-the-scenes tour of this new facility where they can produce four times as much food with far less water and no harmful chemicals! Not only was it a fantastic presentation, but the burgers made from the beef off of his farm were out of this world! A big thanks to Donnie for opening up his business, and we hope to do more like this – so stay tuned!
