Coffee and Conversation: A Morning Shift for the PBA

The usual lunch hour quieted in favor of an earlier start on April 14, as we gathered at 8:30 a.m. at the Loudoun Golf and Country Club. This morning coffee served as a practical experiment: a chance to open the doors for members whose mid-day schedules rarely allow for a break.

The shift in timing coincided with a shift in the program. While our monthly meetings always include social elements, this session prioritized direct interaction. We structured the morning to ensure every attendee could speak to the room, providing a brief overview of their current operations and service offerings.

The meeting served as a briefing point for several upcoming developments in Purcellville. We shared announcements regarding member-led initiatives and reviewed the calendar for community events scheduled through late spring.

Because the Purcellville Town Council was scheduled to meet that evening, we reviewed their agenda items. These updates are a standard part of our effort to keep the business community informed on local governance that impacts Purcellville area businesses.

Our next gathering will take place on May 12 at 5:00 p.m. at the Loudoun Golf and Country Club. Weather permitting, we will meet on the patio for an evening session focused on the relationship between state policy and local commerce. We will be joined by Virginia Senator Russet Perry and Delegate John McAuliff. Our guests will discuss recent state legislation and how decisions made in Richmond are expected to affect small businesses in Loudoun County.
