Ugly Sweaters, Karaoke, and A Holiday Party To Remember: A Recap of Our December Meeting

Where were you on December 9, 2025? If you’re part of the PBA, you were probably at the American Legion a little after 10 p.m., singing Christmas songs with great confidence (and questionable accuracy). We won’t name names, but let’s just say it was a night to remember in downtown P’ville.

The Purcellville Business Association wrapped up the year with an evening of karaoke, networking, and ugly sweaters — including one member dressed as a fully decorated Christmas tree, complete with working lights!

The night began with a more traditional PBA meeting format, as outgoing President Jason Sengpiehl and our committee chairs shared reflections on the year behind us and excitement for the momentum we’re building together. We also officially welcomed Hannah Won as the new President of the PBA. Hannah’s contagious enthusiasm has us all energized for what lies ahead in 2026!

From there, the evening shifted seamlessly into a classic Western Loudoun holiday party. Dinner was magnificent—as you’d expect from the Legion—which set the stage for a wonderful night of music, laughter, and the kind of easy connection we’ve come to expect whenever the PBA gathers to celebrate.

We were honored to have Loudoun County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Gary Clemens, join us to swear in the 2026 PBA Board of Directors, officially marking the leadership transition and welcoming the new board.

The celebration also included recognizing several well-deserving members of our community. The PBA awarded Nathan Curby of Ethos Design & Branding with Business of the Year, Grant Wetmore with the President’s Award in recognition of his many years of dedication to the association, and Shawn McGuinn of Creative2 with Volunteer of the Year, acknowledging their leadership, commitment, and enthusiasm for the association and the broader community.

Looking back on 2025, we see increasing momentum for the PBA’s mission. We’ve experienced stronger engagement at events and a growing sense of alignment around how the organization can best support Western Loudoun businesses in the years ahead.

Purcellville continues to be a special place to live, work, and build a business. If you’re interested in learning more about the Purcellville Business Association—Western Loudoun’s center for business and thought leadership—we’d love to connect. Reach out and plan to join us at an upcoming event.

Thank you to everyone who helped make 2025 a strong year for the PBA. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season as we continue to be a positive force for Purcellville and Western Loudoun.
