Purcellville’s New Zoning: What It Means for You
Welcome made by Jason Sengpiehl, PBA President. Thank you to our sponsors, attendees and guests.
Thank you to our Board for volunteering their time to serve. Attendees then enjoyed a great meal provided by Loudoun Golf & Country Club. Our special guests included: Purcellville Mayor Bertaut, Planning Commissioner Ron Rise, Purcellville Town Planners Summer Wilkes & Jordan Andrews; and the Honorable Peter Holden, Soil & Water Conservation Board.
Colleen provided an update on upcoming events: October 28th Google event with Loudoun Chamber and GW University. November AI panel event luncheon. As well as the Annual Dinner event in December. More info to come on these events.
Stephen provided an update from the Communications Committee. A quick reminder that the updates on the website are complete as well as the Directory. Please review your company’s directly listing to make sure it is up to date. Also, any requests to have events added as well as being added to the email list are now available on the website.
Laura mentioned the Celebrate Purcellville Fall Festival coming up on Saturday October 18th.
Cabinet Showcase invited everyone to their 20th Anniversary event on 10/23.
A Purcellville update provided by Town Council Member Erin Reyner: Tonight’s Town Council meeting agenda includes Committee reports, Planning Commission positions, Parks & Recreation positions, Zoning Commission positions. Introduction of more Sub Committee’s to help with the strategic plan. Interim Police Chief report.
Council Member Erin Reyner introduced our guest speakers Summer Wilkes & Jordan Andrews. Summer discussed some of the new zoning changes as well as some of the changes to her department as well as some of the website changes that they have been able to make with the help of a Patrick Henry College student. Jordan then gave a great presentation on the new zoning changes that were adopted on April 8th, 2025; the presentation included Rezonings, Special Use, Overlays, Use Changes, BAR as it relates to historical property and then went into detail about the new Comp plan and how it relates to the different areas of Purcellville and how it might relate to current as well as future businesses. Jordan then fielded questions from attendees.
