Highlights of PBA Summer 2024 Family Picnic at the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department

After a welcome by PBA President Grant Wetmore our members were introduced to Brad Quinn, Firefighter /Technician with PVFC. Brad introduced himself and gave a brief history of PVFC. Brad also showed us the antique equipment from their history. PVFC celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2023. Brad also answered any questions those in attendance had. Brad apologized as most of their equipment had been dispatched on a structure fire and had not yet cleared the scene and returned to the station. Brad gave us a complete tour of the PVFC station that they share with PVRS & Career Staff. We were able to see their New Brush Truck and their Jeep. The Truck and Tanker were on the structure fire call and the Rescue Engine was on an additional call in the Purcellville area. Brad showed us the kitchen, day room, bunk areas, operations area as well as their equipment bays. We were able to learn a lot about the needs of PVFC as well as the many areas that they need volunteers. Interested in learning more about PVFC check the links out:

What another great PBA family picnic at the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department. After the tour we enjoyed some food (grill Master Grant) and fellowship. Our leftover food was donated to PVFC for the enjoyment of their hungry crews when they returned from the structure fire. Some of our members gathered with their families for some catching up, fun time and a tour of the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department led by Firefighter/Technician Brad Quinn.
